Description

Where your ideas become interactive experiences.

In this hands-on design and prototyping workshop, high school creators step into the world of app development—starting not with code, but with their inner artist. Students will learn how to engage their imagination, strategy, and design thinking. Explore what makes an app intuitive, appealing, and user-friendly, then translate those insights into polished prototypes to share, present, or build out in future tech classes.

Perfect for high school students and 8th graders interested in design, tech, creativity, or bringing a big idea to life—one screen at a time.

Students will:

  • 📝 Sketch paper prototypes to map out screens, user flows, and core features.

  • 🎨 Design high‑fidelity app prototypes that look and feel like real apps.

  • 💻 Learn the basics of Figma, the industry-standard tool for UI/UX design.

  • 💡 Develop a strong app concept they may choose to refine, code, or pitch later.

  • 📱 Create prototypes your way— use your strengths and choose either a hands-on or digital format to create your prototype.

  • 🎨 Produce reusable design assets and artwork for future projects or portfolios.
